‘Red Desert’.

Curated one evening in 'ASB Binnenpret' together with artist Julia Estevão. 'ASB Binnenpret' is a squatted horse tram garage and became the oldest freespace of south Amsterdam.

The movie 'Red Desert' was screened. Homemade red velvet cakes were served as a 'Red dessert'.

'Red Desert' (1964) is Michelangelo Antonioni’s first colour movie. Mysterious and fascinating, with remarkable experiments with colour. Everything you see in the film has its colour carefully selected to a particular scheme, from the clothes to the interiors and even the landscapes. Antonioni had plants, trees and fruit painted over to fit his colour scheme.
